We're a vibrant, inclusive surf club dedicated to fostering diversity and connection in the waves!

Founded in 2022, Channel Women Surf Community (CWSC )is a community-driven organisation that brings together surfers of all backgrounds, with a focus on empowering women, LGBTQ+, NB and allies. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to deepen your surf skills, we create a supportive environment where everyone can learn, grow, and enjoy the surf together.

The CWSC website introduces our inclusive surf community, highlights our core values of respect, diversity, and sustainability, and provides information about our history, mission, and vision. It features details about the committee members, our journey from 2022 to becoming a Welsh Surfing Federation-sanctioned club, and our community-building goals.

At Channel Women Surf Club, we’ve always believed that the ocean is for everyone.

Our club has always been about creating an inclusive, supportive space where underrepresented surfers can show up fully, take up space, and ride waves together. That hasn’t changed—and it never will.

We're joining beloved Coney fixtures @surf_soul_searchers for their weekly Saturday 8am dip on the 16th November!

Make friends with fellow ocean lovers, have a dip and share a coffee at @growandgrindcafe as we raise funds towards life changing treatment for one of our community as she fights against triple negative breast cancer.

We will be collecting cash donations in any amount.

We got together as a CWS collective to walk, talk, skate, eat and watch “Girls Can’t Surf”, a documentary about a group of renegade surfers who challenge the male-dominated surf world for equality and change! An inspirational reminder of how far we’ve come in the world of surf and why we need to keep making waves. 🌊

Join us at Awen Cultural Trust for a celebration of women in surf with the screening of Girls Can’t Surf. ‘Girls Can’t Surf’ follows the journey of a band of renegade surfers who took on the male-dominated professional surfing world to achieve equality and change the sport forever. 💙Join us in supporting Tara’s Life-Saving Treatment Journey 💙

One of our lovely Channel Women Surf community members was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) about a year ago. Since then she has been battling this relentless disease.

Recently, Tara was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Secondary TNBC which is incurable. The treatment Tara needs is not available via the NHS.
